LumaBaby AI: Preemie Tracker, operated by Miratech LLC, helps families track their baby's NICU journey. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

What We Collect

  • Account information: email address, authentication metadata, and account identifiers.
  • Baby profile data: name, date of birth, gestational age, and sharing code.
  • Care tracking data: feeds, sleep, weights, notes, wins, daily briefings, and chat messages entered in the app.
  • Preferences data: notification settings, reminder frequency, units settings, and AI data sharing permission.
  • Subscription data: premium status, App Store subscription identifiers, and web billing identifiers when applicable.
  • Device and reliability data: push notification tokens, basic app event logs, crash diagnostics, and error details used to keep the app reliable.

How We Use Data

  • Provide core app features such as tracking, notes, wins, and contextual summaries.
  • Enable account sign-in, data synchronization, and secure access to baby profiles.
  • Send notifications you have enabled, including reminders and daily briefing notifications.
  • Generate AI chat responses and daily briefings if you allow AI data sharing.
  • Improve reliability and safety of the app, including debugging, abuse prevention, analytics, and monitoring.

AI Features and OpenAI

LumaBaby AI uses OpenAI, LLC as a third-party AI provider for AI Chat and AI-generated daily briefings. Before AI Chat or AI-generated Daily Briefings send selected personal app data to OpenAI, the app displays an in-app consent prompt requiring the user's permission.

AI-generated daily briefings use OpenAI, LLC when AI Data Sharing is enabled. Selected baby profile details, recent logs, notes, wins, derived summaries, and date context may be sent to OpenAI to generate the daily briefing update.

If you allow AI data sharing, LumaBaby AI may send selected personal app data necessary to generate the AI response, including baby profile details, recent feeds, sleep entries, weight entries, notes, wins, chat messages and recent chat history, derived summaries, and date or timezone context.

OpenAI processes this information to return AI-generated content to LumaBaby AI. LumaBaby AI does not sell this information. According to OpenAI's API documentation, API data is not used to train OpenAI models by default unless the customer explicitly opts in. OpenAI may temporarily retain API inputs and outputs for abuse monitoring in accordance with its API data policies.

You can decline AI data sharing or revoke it later in the app's Profile preferences. If permission is declined or revoked, AI Chat will not send your personal app data to OpenAI, and daily briefings will use non-AI fallback content when available.

Service Providers and Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We use service providers to operate LumaBaby AI, and we require them to protect data with safeguards appropriate to the information they process.

  • Supabase stores accounts, baby profiles, tracker logs, notes, wins, preferences, push tokens, chat history, daily briefings, subscriptions, and app event logs.
  • OpenAI, LLC processes selected app data only for AI Chat and AI-generated daily briefings when you allow AI data sharing in the app.
  • Expo processes push notification tokens and notification delivery data for notifications you enable.
  • Sentry processes crash diagnostics, error logs, user identifiers, and app context used to debug reliability issues.
  • Apple processes App Store in-app purchase and subscription data for iPhone and iPad purchases.
  • Vercel hosts public web pages and backend API routes used by the app.

Data Storage and Retention

Your account and app data are stored in secure cloud infrastructure, including Supabase services used by this app. We keep app data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain security. We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect your information.

Your Requests

You can initiate account deletion in the app from Settings & Support → Account Data → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your LumaBaby AI account, baby profiles you created, logs, notes, wins, chat messages, preferences, push tokens, and subscription records stored by the app. Account deletion does not cancel an active App Store subscription; manage App Store subscriptions from your Apple account. Some limited records may be retained when required for legal, security, billing, or fraud-prevention reasons.

You may also revoke AI Data Sharing permission at any time from your Profile preferences without deleting your account.
